Sleeper Train Support
Last updated: 11 September 2026
Sleeper Train is an iPhone app that plays a night on a sleeper train. Press play and it is already rolling. It gathers speed while you fall asleep, calls at a station or two in the small hours, and crawls into the terminus at the time you asked to arrive.
Report a problem
Email me at alex@alexecollins.com. You do not need an account anywhere to do it, and I would rather have a short email than nothing.
Say what you did, what happened, and what you expected instead. These help:
- the iPhone and the version of iOS on it
- the version of Sleeper Train from the App Store listing
- what you were listening through: the phone’s speaker, wired headphones, AirPods, a speaker over AirPlay
- roughly how far into the night it was, and what you had set as the arrival time
What to expect
I write these apps on my own, in my own time, so this is not a support desk. I read every email. A reply usually takes a few days, and a fix takes longer than a reply.
Things that are working as intended
- Nothing much happens for the first twenty-five minutes. That is deliberate. You are falling asleep in those minutes, and anything with a shape to it would keep you awake.
- There is no horn. Not once, all night. A horn is the one sound on a train guaranteed to wake somebody, so it is not in the mix.
- It does not stop at the terminus. The journey arrives when you asked and then keeps running quietly until you stop it, because waking to sudden silence is its own alarm.
- The stations are quieter than you expect. A platform heard through the glass at 3 a.m. is filtered, not just turned down.
If the sound stops when the screen locks, check that nothing else on the phone has taken audio over, and that Sleeper Train is the app playing in Control Center.
Privacy
Sleeper Train collects nothing. The privacy policy says what that means in full.
